Let’s face it, conference calls suck. At least that’s how Speek’s co-founders John Bracken and Danny Boice saw it. As entrepreneurs John and Danny spend a lot of time on conference calls, and they were frustrated with what seemed like stone-age technology—having to keep track of the dial-in and pin numbers, listening to awful Muzak, wondering who’s on the call and being interrupted by background noise. John and Danny knew they could create a better conference call experience. That’s how Speek was born. Speek uses a personal or business link (i.e., speek.com/YourName) instead of a phone number and PIN for conference calls. Participants click the Speek link to start or join a call from their phone, web or mobile browser. You can see who’s joined, who’s talking, share files, use call controls and more.
